Award-Winning Afrobeats star David Adeleke aka Davido is fervently praying to God so as to win a Grammy.
Davido bagged three Grammy nominations ahead of the 66th Annual Grammy Awards scheduled for February 4, 2024.
In a recent chat with GQ magazine, Davido confessed to having been praying fervently to win a Grammy since he got the nominations.
“My biggest prayer is to win a Grammy, it’s my biggest prayer since I got three nominations,” he said during the chat.
Davido was nominated for Best Global Album for his latest album, Best African Performance, and Best Global Music Performance.
Davido, who also confessed to liking popcorn, revealed some of his weaknesses as a person.
The 31-year-old singer further revealed that two of the films he loves are ‘Crazy Rich Asians,’ and ‘American Pie.’ He said he enjoys eating popcorn while watching any of these movies.
The father of four also revealed his weakling for jewellery saying everyone who knows him knows that he has a weakling for jewellery as he can’t go out without them on him.
He also hinted that his ‘Timeless’ album has helped him with patience saying, “Every blessing and honour I have gotten through the Timeless album has a lot to do with me being patient and knowing that everyone has their time.”
