As Founder and President of Lady of Africa Empowerment and Advocacy Foundation, I, Princess Oluwabukola Fasuyi, humbly call on all fellow women of goodwill, conscience, progressivism and good governance to come together and join the Lady of Africa Empowerment and Advocacy Foundation’s 10Million Woman March to move our dear country Nigeria, to the next level of prosperity.
This we hope to kickstart with a 10million woman march for the man of the moment, Nigeria’s president in waiting, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The essence is to create awareness and generate a mass movement, which will ultimately translate into a minimum of 10million strong female votes for the former Lagos State Governor.
It is our strong belief at Lady of Africa Empowerment and Advocacy Foundation that a man who could almost single-handedly move Lagos to to its enviable position as 5th largest economy in Africa would no doubt replicate the same for Nigeria and move the country to its desired position in the comity of nations.
Some women are born to win, some are born to build; some are born to speak out while some are born to be silent but work underground for the good of their immediate family and constituencies.
Lady of Africa Empowerment and Advocacy Foundation is of the opinion that women can no longer be passive or sit and watch while the country is run aground, we are therefore calling on all women to stand up and be counted – for positivism and for progress.
To start with, every woman must get their Voter’s Card and make a statement with it on every election date.
We will also be using this March to present our demands, all aimed at promoting women’s welfare and wellbeing, as well as networking for business.
In Lagos, which will be the epicentre, the march, slated for September 24 ,2022, will be coordinated from five divisions, namely: Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland. Ikorodu, Epe, Alimosho and Badagry.
The same process will be replicated across the capital cities of the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
Signed: Princess Oluwabukola Fasuyi
