President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Senator Abdulaziz Yari as the Director-General of his 2027 presidential re-election campaign.
Yari, a former governor of Zamfara State and former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), will oversee the campaign council as the President prepares to seek another term in office.
As part of the campaign structure, Senator Adams Oshiomhole has been appointed Deputy Director-General in charge of Mobilisation.
The President’s Chief of Staff will also serve as Deputy Director-General in charge of Administration, while Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has been named Secretary of the campaign council.
APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, will serve as Deputy Secretary, while Hadiza Bala-Usman has been appointed Assistant Secretary.
The appointments bring together senior politicians and political strategists from different parts of the country, with the campaign council expected to coordinate mobilisation, administration and other activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The development signals the commencement of a more structured campaign effort by the Tinubu camp as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The campaign team is expected to work with the APC leadership, state chapters and other political stakeholders to strengthen the President’s support base and coordinate his re-election bid across the country.
