Bayelsa Police clarifies the attempt on Ex-president’s life…

Following the news on the attempted assassination of the former president, Goodluck Jonathan in Bayelsa by APC thugs yesterday, the Bayelsa police have clarified on the issue saying that the boys are not APC thugs, neither were they ex-militant but mischievous and jobless youth who mistook the former President’s convoy for that of gubernatorial candidates.
The Bayelsa State Police confirmed that the five youth who attacked the convoy are currently cooling off in the police Station as they were overpowered and arrested by the security operatives attached to the former president during the attempt on the ex-president’s life.
According to him, “Our preliminary investigation showed that these were not ex-militants but boys who mistook the former President‘s convoy for their principal.”
