Expectedly, Mohammed’s extramarital affair with Marifa threatened his marriage with his legal wife, Fati but after grieving for so long, the heavens finally opened up to Fati and granted her a bounty of great joy; three years after her husband’s mistress bore him a child, Fati has finally experienced the joy of motherhood – she has delivered a set of twins to her husband’s delight.
In the wake of his good fortune at the home front, friends and family of Mohammed however, wonder what he would do with Marifa and her child. A very close source to the family stated that Mohammed is finally experiencing true fatherhood by his legal wife. In the light of such fact, what will happen to Marifa, his mistress? Will he simply keep her as his mistress and foot her bills with that of the child he had by her? Or will he adhere to the Islamic injunction that requires him to make a decent woman of a woman like Marifa? Will Marifa agree to move into his home or stay outside as a second wife? Time will tell.
