Physiognomy is the assessment of character or personality from a person’s outer appearance, especially the face. For Judith Amaechi, wife of Rotimi Amaechi, it is not about looks because if it about looks, Judith Amaech has a visage that cuts the picture of a true Proverbs 31 woman. She appears gentle, speaks in angelic, soft-spoken tone, and exudes a godly woman gait. But that is where it all ends. Her misdemeanor has given her away as one with raging spirit ready to cut down anyone standing in her way.
Judith, who is said to be a woman of uneven temperament, administered a dose of her hostility on two airport workers on Saturday at the Port Harcourt International Airport. According to reports, the former Rivers State First Lady and her entourage had arrived late for boarding an Abuja bound Air Peace Airline flight. Instead of pleading for grace, she decided to show power as a wife of a former governor and current minister. She did not only issue threat; she supervised thuggery and attempted to force the flight from taking off without them. The entourage of the Minister of Transport’s wife reportedly formed a human barricade to prevent the fully boarded aircraft from taking off. They took their bestiality to an abyssmal low when Mrs. Amaech’s armed security aides beat up two of the airline’s ground staff for not allowing their principal board the flight. The thoroughly beaten ground staff were Confidence Elechi, an aviation security station Coordinator/Supervisor, and Innocent Ekot, a flight dispatcher. Her aides took their viscious acts further by assaulting two officials of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) who attempted to intervene and bring the situation under control.
The report by the Crime Investigation/Intelligence Unit of FAAN at the Port Harcourt International Airport said Mrs Amaechi supervised the brutalisation of the officials and directed her aides to seize their staff identity cards, telephones and FAAN on-duty-cards.
Judith’s justification for supervising such thuggish displays show she has perfected the act of apportioning blames to political opponents. She reportedly accused the airline staff and FAAN officials of being willing agents of his husband’s political opponents, sent to frustrate and embarrass her. What she did not reveal was if the opponents she was referring to were those in the same party with her husband or those presently governing the state, as her husband has many forces to contend with several fronts.
