Again, death has intruded the enamored world of the rich; Jennifer Atiku-Abubakar has lost her loving sister, Princess to a deadly cancer ailment in a Dubai hospital. Jennifer was devastated and inconsolable. She raved and ranted about her loss, tearing and tugging at her hair, leaving her husband, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to pacify and assure her that he would bend over backwards to quadruple as her father, sister, friend and husband.

Jennifer knew he meant it but the sense of loss was overwhelming and she realised that the best that she could do is to cherish her late sister’s memory and give her a befitting rite of passage. Nobody ever makes a lovely corpse but when she was alive, Princess characterized the essence of loveliness and more. Now that she has passed on, Jennifer would fight the battle of her life of her sister.

Although she spared no expense to get her back on her feet, her efforts and prayers amounted to naught as she yielded to the sickness that to the consternation of her loved ones.

Nothing lasts forever; as the seasons turn, so does human life wither to age and disease, everything vanishes like morning dew. But tragic as her demise is, her family, friends and other loved ones may seek consolation in the fact that even in death, the infinitely generous and compassionate woman has gone on to join the heavenly choir invisible of the immortal dead; the souls who pass on but continue to live in minds and lives made better by their presence.
