Unlike other record label bosses in the industry who would not want their label artiste to be on their own after signing them into their label due to the financial gains, Mavin record boss, Don Jazzy, in response about his record tag, has disclosed that being sealed into a record association is not about blood oath.
Don Jazzy further disclosed that any good record tag does not have a right to collect money from any artist before signing them, adding that he will like to see his artistes underneath his tag turn entrepreneurs too.
In his words, “Mavin agreement is not a life blood oath. We adore to see my artists grow to turn entrepreneurs too. You don’t need income to get sealed into Mavin. Any record tag that asks for income to pointer is not prepared to deposit in you. Why sign?”
It would be recalled that Wande Coal and Don Jazzy were signed to Mo’hits before moving on to start their own record label.
