•Why she hates men
•Her devotion to her Radio and TV station
It is often said that there is no excellent beauty without its strange aspects. If this is in anyway true, then Agatha Amata epitomizes the essence of the assertion. Or what can you make of her insistence to remain single despite the fact that eligible suitors swarm around her like butterflies over pollen nectar?
Scratch that! Jumoke is not just another victim of over-exaggerated spinsterhood gone awry, no doubt. In fact, burnt and severely disillusioned by her unsavory experience in wedlock, Agatha never misses an opportunity to impress it on her friends that marriage isn’t anywhere near top of the list of her priorities now.
When her marriage crashed many years ago, many thought she would remarry immediately. But she didn’t.
Ten years ago, the marriage between veteran actor cum producer, Fred Amata and Agatha, a popular TV personality, hit the rock after it was alleged that Agatha was cheating on Fred. Though Agatha denied the allegation but all her effort to prove herself a faithful wife was not enough as Fred rushed to the court to file for divorce.
Many who knew the couple attested that, it was possible that Fred was seeking for an opportunity to end the marriage and he finally found one.
Nonetheless, Agatha has moved on and she has since then carved a niche for herself as she thrives on broadening her flare for TV and Radio station shows.
In a recent interview with Citypeople Magazine, Fred Amatha’s erstwhile wife opened up on her life as a single woman and mother, how she has managed to endure being that way since her separation with her ex-husband and why she has resolved to remain single.
According to her, she has settled to remain single as there’s no rush. She stated that since her two kids have grown, she has two babies which are her Radio and TV stations which take her time and she does not have the time to fix a man into her schedule.
In her words she said, “If a man comes in my life now, I will start to wonder whereto fit him into. There are so many things in my life right now that take so much attention”.
On remaining single since her divorce with her ex-husband, Agatha said, “it is better for me to be alone, than for me to form or pretend that I am with someone when I am not with the person”.
As a single woman and a mother to her kids, Agatha at 46 has successfully raised her two kids and her son recently graduated with a First Class in Economics from a UK University against the popular belief that single mothers are more like to raise way-ward kids.
Perhaps, this notion has been defeated as Agatha smiled endlessly during her son’s boat party where it was alleged that she snubbed her ex-husband, and Fred himself reciprocated as they were not seen talking or taking pictures together with their son.
Fred’s attempted courtships, relationships and marriages to several ladies have failed since he divorced Agatha. Perhaps it high time the TV and Radio personality, Agatha experienced the joy of being in the arms of a man irrespective of her stances.
