After a messy divorce from his estranged wife and mother of his son, Abolore Akande popularly known as 9ice, has disclosed in an interview reasons why he is yet to tie the knot again with any woman.

9ice who had been living with his girlfriend for more than three years and the duo welcomed a baby girl in late 2014 has revealed that he is not ready to make a proper woman out of her yet. According to him, he disclosed that marriage is not his priority as most women of this generation are not submissive and this can be a major downturn in marriage. He said,

“As I am now I have a woman in my house, but I would say marriage is not meant for our generation. Back in the days, our fathers rule over their wife, and the wife would be submissive”.

He further talked about his career and revealed that despite the change in the industry which is now a money-making venture and the rush for endorsement by artist, he is not ready to rebrand.

He also revealed that his charges for performing at shows have now reduced due to the huge amount involved in promoting songs and the economic downturn in the country.

“The rates have changed to be honest, it has dropped. Its lower now. Tell me the last time any artiste built house? There are responsibilities now. We pay huge amount to promote songs.”
