President Muhammadu Buhari has reassured Nigerians his administration will solve the banditry and insecurity challenges before the end of his tenure.
Buhari spoke at the Sultan’s palace Sokoto on Thursday when he paid a courtesy visit to Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar.
He regretted the current happening in the North West was disturbing, saying that he was having sleepless nights.
“It’s quite disturbing that same people and same culture are killing each other with no clear reasons,” he lamented.
According to the President, the military and other security agencies were given clear matching order to crush bandits and kidnappers in the north and other parts of the country.
He reassured he would hand over a secured and prosperous country free of insecurity and economic challenges.
Responding, Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar said as religious leaders, they would continue to pray for peaceful coexistence in the country.
He thanked the President for taking time to visit the palace.
