Nigerian singer Davido has continued to call out the former Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick over the allegation that he was absent from a show in Warri after being paid $94,600.
Pinnick, in a video that surfaced on social media, had accused the Afrobeat singer of not coming for a show in Warri scheduled for October 6, 2023, after being paid and his flight arranged.
“We paid Davido $94,600 on the 6th of April. We paid $18,000 for his plane,” he said.
The 30-year-old had earlier responded on Saturday through a series of posts on X (formerly known as Twitter), referring to Pinnick as one throwing stones yet living in a glass house.
However, in a new post, the singer, via his Instagram stories on Saturday night, vowed to return and double the money to any football charity organization in Nigeria.
He further accused the former football chairman of using the money meant for the organisation to live in a high-brow area in Lagos.
He wrote: “If I’m returning any money. I’ll return it to any football charity organization. In fact, I will double it. Mr Dreams Crusher.. imagine how many Nigerian footballers have had their dreams crushed because person one lives for Ikoyi by force.
“Warri people hate you! And you know! Amaju, come outside let’s talk! I will be performing in Warri in December! I want to see who get mind stop me.. body go tell you.
“I wanna donate money to @thenofficial been suffering for too long it’s not fair.. let’s do something, @puma.”
