Bayelsa First Lady undergoes treatment for life-threatening ailment
Real tragedy never abates. It goes on hopelessly forever, multiplying like a brood of sorrow and dark shadows. In the household of Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, an ominous calm persists. As the family of the former governor of Bayelsa State struggle through the pangs of his sudden death, a portentous incident manifests with intolerable ugliness; Margaret, the widow of Alamieyeseigha, has fallen critically ill in the wake of her husband’s death. Exactly one week after she lost her husband to the cold hands of death, the former first lady of Bayelsa is terribly sick. It would be recalled that last year, in October 2014 to be precise, her husband, the man formerly known as the “Governor-General of the Ijaw nation” had to fly to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), in a state of shock and agonizing sadness, to retrieve the corpse of Oyamieyifa, one of their sons who died in controversial circumstances. And just when she and her husband were coming to grips with the reality of Oyamieyifa’s death, Tonbra, their other son, broke up with his wife of seven months, Chikodi Stella Ononiwu. Tonbra’s separation from his wife occurred very early 2015 in controversial circumstances and after she and her husband treated the couple to a grand society wedding. Shortly after, Margaret scared her late husband by falling ill. While dealing with the tragic occurrences in the lives of their wards, her late husband was forced to watch helplessly as she (Margaret) slipped further into ill-health. However, contrary to fears of their friends and family, Margaret did not yield to the agony of her bad health, rather her husband was the one who died suddenly, to her chagrin and that of their loved ones. Despite her bad health, Margaret survived the scare of sudden death but no sooner did her husband die than her health condition worsened. She is reportedly undergoing treatment for a life-threatening ailment and her condition is said to have worsened in the wake of her husband’s demise.
