Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria’s former president, has accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of promoting poverty among Nigerians by implementing several of his initiatives wrongly.

The withdrawal of the fuel subsidy, the exchange rate, and his handling of the military coup in the Niger Republic, he claimed, are the three decisions.
He said, “Today, the government has taken three decisions, two of which are necessary but wrongly implemented and have led to the impoverization of the economy and Nigerians. He added, “It requires a change of characteristics, attributes and attitude by the leadership at all levels to gain the confidence and trust of investors who have alternatives.”
