Hakeem Muri-Okunola, the gentleman  Principal Private Secretary to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is back on top of the list of persons of interest in Lagos state.

Muri-Okunola , the immediate past Head of Service in the state returns to the list of the most talked about politicians on the wings of a familiar “topic”.

For yet another spell, he is being touted as the next Governor of Lagos state.

This development begins another round of talks, like the previous two occasions that made him a very strong contender in the process that made Sanwo-Olu Governor in 2019 and gave him a second term in 2023.

Sanwo-Olu’s ineligibility to contest for another term – based on constitutional provision – has thrown the race open for those with the clout to seek the number one seat in Lagos state.

Well liked and connected, Muri-Okunola is one of the favored sons of President Bola Tinubu.
