BREAKING: PDP Crisis Thickens As Bala Mohammed’s Faction Moves To Hold NEC Over Plot To Remove Damagum

Amid the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, a faction of the party led by Bauchi Governor, Bala Mohammed has approached the court seeking an ex parte order to hold the party’s National Executive Council, NEC meeting.

DAILY POST recalls that some governors elected under PDP and led by Mohammed had moved to remove acting national chairman Amb Umar Damagum. …CONTINUE READING

The move deepened the crisis in the party as some stakeholders, especially those loyal to the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Nyesom Wike opposed the move.

The Federal High Court Abuja had also issued an order barring the party from removing Damagum.

The suit by Mohammed’s faction was filed at the Federal High Court in Zamfara State.
