Oshiomhole Celebrates Farouk’s Removal: “I’m Still Going to Drink Tonight”
According to our report, during the Senate screening of President Tinubu’s nominees for Nigeria’s petroleum regulatory agencies, former Edo Governor Adams Oshiomhole made headlines with his candid remarks.

Addressing the nominees for NUPRC and NMDPRA, Oshiomhole praised their qualifications but emphasized that policy choices matter more than credentials, stressing the need for deliberate state support for local, labor-intensive industries to create jobs.

He strongly criticized the immediate past leadership, celebrating the removal of Engineer Farouk Ahmed, calling his policies a threat to Nigeria’s prosperity. “Anyone opposed to creating jobs, who prefers importing poverty, does not deserve to live,” he said, vowing accountability.

Oshiomhole urged the new nominees to prioritize patriotism and national interests over individual gain. Concluding on a dramatic note, he declared, “And I’m still going to drink tonight because of the removal of Farouk,” signaling approval of the President’s swift action.
