The Kogi Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Jabi, Abuja, Monday, dismissed the application filed by James Faleke to declare him as the governor elect of Kogi state.
Although, the Tribunal sustained the preliminary objection raised by James Faleke’s lawyer that he has the loco standi to contest the decision of INEC to accept the nomination of Bello as APC candidate after the death of Audu , it however, said that party has the prerogative to nominate candidates for election
It further stated that to the wisdom of the Tribunal, Faleke is still the Deputy Governor to Bello as far as his party, APC nominated him.
Faleke’s application was there for dismissed.
