“I think the government needs to look into the services of Air Peace, they don’t have the capacity for what they market as Nigeria airline, we were shocked at the Lagos airport for over 15 hours, unfortunately, the staff were so rude, and not patriotic, lacking adequate competence of customer service officials,” angry customer who later boarded Air Peace airline around noon Sunday to Abuja.
Arriving at the airport around 10:00 am on Saturday with your itinerary carefully planned out, only to find yourself stuck for hours (from 10:00 am till 12:00 am ) without any update from the airline. The clock ticks away, business appointments are missed, and plans unravel—all because of an airline’s insubordination. The lack of communication and accountability is not just an inconvenience; it’s a serious breach of trust.
When an airline consistently fails to deliver, it disrupts lives, careers, and businesses. It’s a cycle of inefficiency that must be broken. This is not the first time Air Peace embroiling in flight delay crisis but later denied the report.
On April 7, 2024, Air Peace management strongly denied allegations claiming that the airline had deserted passengers at Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri, Imo State. The allegations suggested that the abandonment was due to ticket racketeering involving the airline’s staff.
Reacting to the media report which alleged that the airline left some of its passengers stranded at the South East airport because of ticket racketeering among its staff resulting in overbooking, the management of Air Peace noted that the report was not only false but also an outrageous claim, malicious and deliberate.
In this latest report, Air Peace has no hidden place as many Nigerians who boarded the airline shared video and pictorial evidence to this medium and have called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to intervene in the crisis looming in the services of Air Peace before it becomes a major disaster for the country. The government must take action to address the ongoing suffering of citizens in the hands of Air Peace’s negligence. Regulatory bodies need to intervene to ensure that the airline is held accountable for its substandard service.
“The truth of the matter is that Air Peace can’t take many passengers and instead of them to operate within their limit, they will not, they book over five thousand passengers for airplanes with 1,000 capacity, this is so alarming”, another customer lamented.
If these issues are not addressed promptly, they will continue to erode public confidence in air travel, leading to broader economic and social consequences.
In the video released to ThePAPERS, angry passengers were seen exchanging heated arguments with Air Peace officials requesting for flight ticket refund at around 10:35pm on Saturday
