Comedian-turned fimaker, Ayo Makun, the name behind the box-office success, 30 Days in Atlanta, has announced that he is set for a sophomore movie exploit that may further stamp his burgeoning career as a filmmaker.
With a premiere date already fixed for September 25, this new movie, A Trip to Jamaica, which the entertainer said will also hit cinemas on Friday September 30, stars award-winning actress Funke Akindele, alongside top actors such as Nse Ikpe-Etim, Chris Attoh, Dan Davies from Hollywood and Rebecca Silvera, former Miss Jamaica and the winner of American reality television dating game show, She’s Got Game.
The story of love, adventure, and crime of the comedy genre, according to the filmmaker, has cameo appearances from music stars like Cynthia Morgan, Patoranking and Olamide.
The movie which is co-written by AY and Dianne Diaz is directed by Robert Peters, a U-S.-based Nigerian filmmaker who also directed 30 Days in Atlanta.
The new movie will be distributed by FilmOne Distribution, Nigeria’s fastest growing film distribution company, which is behimd films like Fifty, Wives on Strike and Ghana Must Go.
