The people we get along with, trust and feel simpatico with are the strongest links in our networks. Ask Haruna Momoh, he knows. There is no union of hearts that does not meet its end; friend after friend departs, but comrades in true spirit, stay.
With them, the deep, tightly woven fabric of affection glistens even with wear and the inescapable vicissitudes of companionship and emotional life. If you can dispel the notion that ‘Money is the root of all evils,’ you would understand why it is the factor that binds Ben Peters and Haruna Momoh, like conjoined twins. The Managing Director (MD) of Aiteo Consortium and former MD, Pipeline Petroleum Marketing Company (PPMC) love each other as if they were sired from the same loins.
Thus like sea-hardened mariners, sworn to an oath of eternal brotherhood, they have seen each other through the most menacing storms. Peters and Momoh remain inseparable even through life-threatening turbulence, according to sources close to the duo. Their bond has been variously attributed to a robust business relationship and mutually beneficial friendship.
During Momoh’s tenure as PPMC boss in former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, he allegedly conducted numerous lucrative business transactions with Peters. TheCapital findings revealed that Peters was his major associate and partner in various business schemes. Peters benefited immensely from Momoh during the period. Together, they toured the world.
The shared a bond so tight bond that it never crossed their minds to betray each other. You can hardly see Peters without sighting Momoh nearby. Momoh, it is often said, can trust Peters with his life and vice-versa. That is why he threw a lot of lucrative business opportunities Peters’ way and the latter reciprocated by being truly appreciative and loyal.
