Death has bared its vicious fangs again. This time, it crept into the home of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain, Tony Anenih, and snatched his beloved son, Eugene.
Thecapitalng sources say Eugene was playing tennis with friends somewhere in Ikoyi when he slumped and died this afternoon. Efforts by his friends to administer CPR on him proved abortive, leaving them in understandable anguish and streams of tears. Sadly, the Anenih family was still mourning the death of their matriarch who passed last month and was still in the morgue awaiting burial. Eugene was making huge plans for his mum’s burial before his life was cut short.
Eugene, a 1990 Bio-Chemistry graduate of the University of Benin is the chief executive officer of Nova Finance and Securities Limited. Also a member of the Chartered Institute of Stock Brokers (CIS), Eugene’s company was in the news last year when it was slapped with a one-year ban by the Securities and Exchange Company for employing manipulative and deceptive devices in a deal involving African Petroleum.
Known as Mr. FIX IT in political circles because of his wide influence and ability to negotiate favourable political deals, this famed expertise failed Eugene’s octogenarian father at a most crucial period, an eventuality that has now thrown the twilight of his life into gloom.
