In connection with the death of Whitney Adeniran, a 12-year-old student at Chrisland School in Opebi, the Lagos State government on Thursday filed charges against the school, its principal, vice principal, and two staff members.
Ademoye Adewale, Kuku Fatai, Ms. Belinda Amao, Nwatu Ugochi Victoria, are among the school employees who were charged before Judge Oyindamola Ogala of the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja.
The state has filed two counts of accusations against the defendants that centered on reckless and negligent behavior and involuntary manslaughter.
While in the dock, the school’s principal, Mrs. Belinda Amao, broke down in tears as the court and counsel tried to agree on a date for the commencement of the trial.
