Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Amb. Umar Damagum and the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike have been warned to steer clear of Rivers issue or be comsumed.

He said: “This is the third letter I am writing to the PDP National Chairman and if they don’t stop meddling in Rivers issue, it will consume Damagum and Wike. Wike must leave PDP for the party to survive.”
Wike’s alliance with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is a calculated move to destabilize the PDP from within, using his ministerial position as a platform for political maneuvering.
As a leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) and a respected figure in the Southern and Middle-Belt Leaders Forum (SMBLF), Clark’s statements carry significant weight. He made it clear that he could no longer remain silent while Wike, a junior in the political arena, continues to exert undue pressure on the Rivers State government and the PDP. Clark warned that if the party leadership does not take decisive action against Wike, the situation could escalate, potentially leading to a wider crisis within the party.
Chief Clark’s intervention highlights the deepening rift within the PDP, particularly in the South-South region, where Wike’s influence has been both a source of strength and division. The veteran politician’s call for Wike’s removal underscores the urgency of the situation, as the PDP faces internal challenges that could impact its future cohesion and effectiveness as an opposition party.
He said: I won’t allow him to destroy Rivers State,” Clark declared.
He alleged that having failed to use the APC to disrupt the PDP, Wike is now using the party against itself.
