Confession
Blood of Jesus, sanctify my eyes to see beyond the physical. My eyes shall not be dark, manipulated, partially or totally blinded, in the name of Jesus. I receive the gift of visions and dreams. I confess that no spiritual cataract will affect my inner eyes, in Jesus name. The Lord will grant me access to information clearly, for I see through the eyes of God.
Exhortation
Gifts are of the Lord are given unto men in measure according to the will and purpose of God for such a life. The place of spiritual gifts forms an integral part in the working out of god’s blueprint for humanity. Every gift has its own uniqueness and purpose, but all function for the overall upliftment of the body of Christ. 1 Cor. 12:12.
From Him the whole body, and held together by every supporting ligament grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. Eph, 4:16
Spiritual gifts are God’s enablement for believers to do their part
Write in the context of spiritual gifting, Ephesians 4:16 let us know that each and every Christian has a part in the church that will be instrumental to the growth of the Body of Christ. 1 Corin 12:7 says, “Now to each manifestation of the spirit is given for the common good.” Serving one another through the use of our spiritual gifts is not optional.
Spiritual gifts enable us to serve with maximum effectiveness
Since there is a limit of time we can serve, we need to look for maximum effectiveness. Structure our ministries around our spiritual gifts will help us know where to put our focus, energy, and time. It will show us where we should plug into ministry.
BUT, IN SERVING WE MUST FOLLOW:
.God’s design for the church
.God’s own character
.God’s principles in His Word
AND, THE USES OF OUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS MUST BE EXERCISED:
. In His presence
. By His grace
What is the Purpose of Spiritual Gifts?
Numerous passage show the purpose of spiritual gifts to be the effect they have on the Body of Christ:
. 1 Corinthians 12:7 – “Now to each one of the manifestation of the spirit is given for the common good.”
. Ephesians 4:12 – “to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up”
. 1 peter 4:10 – “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve other…”
As you can read in these references, spiritual gifts are not for personal benefit or selfish gain. Rather, they are for the benefit of the body of Christ. When properly exercised, spiritual gifts will contribute to the overall health and growth of the church. It is important therefore to cry unto the Lord to help us discover and properly harness whatever gift he has bestowed upon us. One very salient factor in this spiritual disposition is the ability to see beyond the physical and the ordinary.
God must open our eyes so we may have access to divine secrets and information that will gear us towards our God-given goals in life. Ability to see and reveal secrets gives credence to the greatness of God, and the reality and power embedded in His word. As you pray the following prayers, may the good Lord anoint your eyes to see and appropriate the vision in Jesus name?
Prayers
1. Bless the name of the Lord for His gift of visions and dreams.
2. Ask the Lord to revive your gifts to see beyond the physical.
3. Every grip on my gift of visions and dreams, be loosed by fire, in Jesus name
4. Let the anointing to see the will and purpose of God for any situation fall on me, in Jesus name
5. Lord, sharp my spiritual eyes by your grace, in Jesus name
6. Every veil and covering cast over my spiritual eyes, be torn, in Jesus name
7. I reject and refuse spiritual blindness, in Jesus name
8. My God-given ability to see shall not be manipulated, in Jesus name
9. My spiritual retina shall not blurred, in Jesus name
10. Explosively open my spiritual eye, O Lord
11. Open my eyes, O Lord to know the reasons behind every delay/affliction/denial, in Jesus name
12. Every hidden plans of the enemy, be revealed in the name of Jesus
13. My spiritual eyes shall not be stolen, in Jesus name
14. Every filthiness or dirtiness in my spiritual eyes, be washed off by the blood of Jesus
15. I refuse to forget any more whatever you reveal to me, in Jesus name. (Pray against the spirit of memory failure after dreaming/seeing vision).
