• Says his globetrotting is for Nigeria’s good

President Buhari has promised to publish list of recovered ill-gotten loots in due course. The president made this promise at the APC’s Nation Executive Committee meeting that was held yesterday in ABUJA.
“We have to get credible evidence to carry out successful prosecution and get judgment from the Judiciary. But effort is being made to give a list of recoveries in whatever currencies so far so that Nigerians will know that it is not all about long stories.” The president said.
On his travelling around, the president said he is aware that many Nigerians are accusing him of globetrotting; he said he is doing so to win the hearts of Nigeria’s “economic colleagues and neighbours”.
Buhari, ever since assuming power, has been travelling around to attend international conferences and paying state’s visit to countries, his recent being a visit to Equatorial Guinea where he was bestowed with the highest honour in that nation.
While addressing his fellow party persons in the meeting, the president said: “Sometimes, you need to present your case on personal basis to your economic colleagues and neighbours. Nothing is better than personal touch and I believe that we are learning a lot and eventually, the nation will realize so. I don’t envy you on the harassment you are going through from your constituencies. Take it with a lot of determination and we will be all right, God willing.”
