•Amazing footprint of construction genii, Andre Geday and Alex Nader
• How they resolves Lagosians’ property woes with boutique housing and luxury neighbourhoods
• The Bourdillon masterpiece and other marvelous initiatives
Yes, House Number 4, Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, looks like the footprint of a colossal genius, the proof of greatness of irrefutable genius. The structure looms majestically under the azure sky; although it is currently at its 15th floor, builders and minders of the project are working to raise it to its 25th floor.
Predictably, the edifice that would be the tallest in Ikoyi when completed in 2019, has become the major attraction in the highbrow Ikoyi neighbourhood; construction gurus and laymen troop to the site to study it, marvel and take pictures.
Everybody is in agreement concerning the genius that went into the project from inception hence they continually give kudos to the brains behind the project; Andre Geday and Alex Nader. The name of their company is EL-ALAN Construction Company (Nigeria) Limited. They are notable for mind blowing projects and their intention to never cut corners.
Andre has been the Managing Director of EL-ALAN since inception. Prior to joining the Company, he was Operations Manager, Project Manager and Site Supervisor at NICOHO Limited. He is also a Director of VACC Technical Limited, Soft Solutions Nigeria Limited, Panther Investments Nigeria Limited, Provast Limited and Alan Caray Limited. Andre graduated from Nottingham University, England (1979) with a BSc in Production Engineering.
He also holds an MSc in Construction Management from the University of Loughborough, England. Alex Nader on the other hand, has been the Contracts Director of EL-ALAN since inception. Prior to joining the Company, he was Site Engineer at NICOHO Limited.
Alex is also a Director of VACC Technical Limited, Soft Solutions Nigeria Limited, Panther Investments Nigeria Limited, Provast Limited and Alan Caray Limited. Alex graduated from the Engineering University of ESIB, Lebanon (1981) with a MSc in Civil and Structural Engineering.
EL-ALAN was founded in April 1982 as a private limited liability company; today the company is one of the fastest growing and most dynamic construction and civil engineering companies in Nigeria. For over three decades it has delivered high quality integrated construction solutions.
Not only is its 25-floor edifice one of its many breathtaking projects across the country, pundits aver that it is one of a very rare kind given its build quality and immensity.
There is no gainsaying Alex is a detribalized human. The business magnate whose stakes cuts across various industries and countries considers himself first and foremost, a citizen of humanity. He hardly exploits his ethnic roots or national affiliation for profit.
As a businessman and administrator, he seeks to be a humane boss. There is no gainsaying Alex and Nader, who are more of Nigerians, spurred new business development and job growth across West Africa thus setting the standard for firms in the African marketplace.
While engaging in competitive pursuits of business glory and profit, Alex and Nader, unlike most entrepreneurs of their class draw a line demarcating the threshold of their business ethics from under-the-belt exploitative practices by cutthroat competition.
Ultimately, they demand that their companies abide by international safe-safety standards and provides private healthcare, pensions and family benefits for their employees. Little wonder the El Alan is a leading Nigerian employer, with a workforce numbering tens of thousands of Nigerian and other African and international personnel.
