Music star Davido and his fiance Chioma Rowland have kept mum over the death tale trailing their first son Ifeanyi.
Efforts to get reactions from Davido’s close aides and associates proved abortive as no one was willing to confirm or deny the incident.
Though details of the circumstances surrounding Ifeanyi’s alleged death remained sketchy, an unconfirmed report said the three-year-old drowned in the swimming pool at his father’s Banana Island home in Lagos State.
The report emanated from a now-deleted Instagram post by actress, Eniola Badmus, on Monday night .
It went viral because of Badmus’ close relationship with Davido and his 30BG crew.
Emotions have been high over the incident, which has become the most searched and trending topic on social media platforms.
An handful of celebrities has been posting cryptic messages that appear to confirm the incident.
They include Ayo ‘AY’ Makun, Daddy Freeze and Lasisi Elenu.
“The death of a child is unnatural, unfair, and tragic, this hit me so bad,” AY wrote on his official Instagram page.
Elenu wrote: “Father heal your children’s hearts from this pain, strengthen them in such a dark and hurtful time oh Lord.”
Daddy Freeze wrote: “When the person you love is someone involved it becomes a heavy emotional burden. I am not confirming anything but bear with me I will not be live tonight.”
