Aregbesola’s distancing himself from the re-election efforts of his party man, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola reportedly contributed to the victory Ademola Adeleke of the rival People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2018.
Events after the election diminished Aregbesola’s relevance in APC and political stature in the state until he made a big return with the launch of Omoluabi Progressives.
