Love and celebration was in the air on Saturday, May 28, 2016, when prolific writer Dr Reuben Abati spokesperson to the immediate-past President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, for the second time tied the marital knots with his wife Omolara in Ibadan, Oyo State. Lara is dark skinned, intelligent, smart and blessed with a good shape.
The marriage has produced two boys, but that does not take away the celebration as the traditional wedding was one of its type and had lots of celebrities in attendance especially close allies of the groom.Among them were Otunba Oshinowo, Mr&Mrs Briggs, Mr Akinyele for Oyo State Tax Chief,Mr Tunji Adeogun,Dr&Mrs Fibresima,Otunba Oshinowo to mention few.
Held at the NUT Centre, Orogun, Ibadan. From the onset, we learnt their relationship was sort of made from heaven, as the duo became very bonded in love since they met in 2009. It will be recalled that Lara was much in charge of the planning of Dr Abati’s Mother’s funeral in Abeokuta in 2014. Not only that, Lara, we gathered organized a special surprise 50th Birthday for the former Chairman Guardian Editorial Board at Jevnik Events Place on Isaac John street, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
The bride, Lara whose late father was from Ibadan while her mum is from Osun State. Her grandfather, Rev. Pa Daniel Oluniyi stood in as her dad at the event and her mum, Alhaja Oluwatoyin Odegbile was fully on ground.
A good number of the ex-presidential spokesman were in attendance at the wedding, which also saw a moderate retinue of celebrity women in attendance
Faaji by Bankole handled the decor at the wedding, while Os Celebrations owned by Kafilat Oshobemekun planned the event from the scratch and also coordinated it. Talented singer, Seun Aransiola thrilled the guests with what she knows how to do best.
