Business mogul, Ben Murray-Bruce, has offered three steps Nigerians must take for the value of the Naira to be shored up against other currencies.
At the close of work on Friday, the Naira exchange rate to the Dollar was close to N1,600 and N2,000 to the Pound.
Speaking on the development, Murray-Bruce, a mediapreneur and former representative of Bayelsa East Senatorial District, said on his X handle on Sunday: “This is not rocket science.
“If we as Nigerians want the Naira to appreciate in value, then we have to do three things immediately:
“Use Glo for calls and data.
“Eat Dangote for nutrients and power.
“Drive Innoson to get Nigeria moving faster.
“If we don’t do these three things, and we instead come on social media to throw tantrums, one day, we will wake up to 5000 Naira to one Dollar.
“The Naira has been floated.
“There is no more breast milk.
“If we do not #BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira we will never rise together.”
Replying to Murray-Bruce, an X user: logjay @Jobiz042, said: “1. Ban medical tourism for politicians.
Ban politicians from sending their kids to study abroad.
Ban politicians from having foreign bank accounts.
Ban politicians from driving foreign cars.
INEC should be independent and voting should be done electronically. Citizens should vote with their ID cards, thumb with face capturing.
“Do these five things and politicians will be forced to make our country work.
“This is not a rocket science.”
