Sometime in their youth, Tive and Toke Ibru got lost in the folds of ill-bliss. Critics of the duo would say they slipped into the ravine of delight and got drowned in the gulf of reverse enlightenment; however, friends and loyalists of the duo would tirelessly defend their honour and ask their critics to suck up their jealousy and mind their business.
Whatever anyone thinks, the handsome siblings of the Ibru dynasty definitely got mired in the pleasure swamps where common sense stifles in the guttural din of degenerate will.
The sons of late Alex Ibru, renowned media entrepreneur and publisher of The Guardian Newspapers seem to have forgotten the crucial rule of philandering that requires randy bachelors to retreat from the streets while their antics are still appreciated. An hour more or a second longer, the unrepentant Casanova gets burnt and irredeemably worn out. Ultimately, he loses steam and appeal. He becomes damaged goods, just like the brothel prostitute.
But Tive and Toke Ibru seem ignorant of this fact. That is why they carry on like hyperactive horn dogs oblivious to the peril of wild romantic liaisons, according to their critics. Rather than seek homely brides and get married to them, they alleged, the Ibru siblings prefer to engage in wanton romantic trysts with different women.
There is hardly a society big girl that has not been ‘floored’ by the Ibru brothers. it’s all part of the pleasure-fest. Thus Tive and Toke are still unmarried. According to a report on Naijagistlive.com, has it that they also dabble in their cousin, Obaro’s stash as well, that is, they get off on women and indulgences supplied by him. Tive’s wing man, Jide Adenuga, allegedly lure in the women with his devilish good looks to invite them for night caps to Tive’s Penthouse at Federal Palace Hotel.
This fascination with degenerate pleasure perhaps had been fingered as the reason why their sibling, Obaro Ibru’s marriage with his Ethiopian wife crashed. Obaro who is allegedly into more wild and crazy exploits scared his Ethiopian wife, Hairut and their boys away by his frequent indulgence in lifestyle unbecoming of a married man.
His wife reportedly packed her bags and moved back to Ethiopia when it became clear to her that Obaro was hell bent on living like a bachelor despite his being married to her. But while Obaro currently struggles to live a low profile, Tive and Toke Ibru are frantically prowling the pleasure fields where he (Obaro) burnt out.
With easy money and elite connections at their disposal, the high society becomes a wonderful turf for the brothers to catch their thrills anyway they deem fit. Let’s hope the elders in their family would rise up in the nick of time to curtail the excesses of their rich, handsome and infinitely ‘eligible’ sons.
