APC Chieftain Orji Kalu has disclosed how Simon Ekpa, self-proclaimed prime minister of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) threatened him over the phone for his non-insistence in supporting the Biafra agitation.

“Simon Ekpa was calling and threatening me that I don’t support Biafra, but I left him to his conscience,” he said.
Kalu, a leading figure in the southeast stressed the need for intelligence in combating crime, urging security agencies to adopt proactive measures.
“I am very strong-willed when it comes to security, and I can do anything to safeguard the lives and property of the people I rule.”
He also encouraged the South-East governors to adopt a firm stance against crime.
“You must be a strong leader to condemn crime, and I eradicated crime. No governor should tolerate any type of crime in his state; it is not allowed.”
