For those who ever doubted Ibe Kachikwu when he was nominated by president Buhari as one of his would-be ministers, this news will either burn them in the heart like a sulphuric acid, or dissolve their doubt and push them to embrace the fact that Ibe Kachikwu is indeed capable of turning rust to gold as he has been doing in the petroleum industry.
Ever since assuming his position as the minister of state for petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu set off without looking back by forming and implementing policies that will ensure the rots in the petroleum industry is wiped off and transparency is established. His policy has proven to be people oriented and the cabals, who have been sapping the country dry from time immemorial have never been this scared of losing their businesses to the wind of change being blown by the delectable minister.
Little wonder he was voted the best performing minister according to a poll carried out by Governance Advancement Initiative for Nigeria (GAIN), an independent organization that is tracking the performance of governments at all levels in Nigeria.
The poll shows that Ibe Kachukwu scored 10 points which is the highest among other ministers. The closest to him is 7 points scored by the minister of information, Alhaji Lai Muhammed. But with the pace at which the minister is going with his transformational idea, it seems nothing in the world can stop him.
