Nigeria Professional Football League side, FC Ifeanyi Ubah have signed ex-Nigeria U-17 skipper, Fortune Chukwudi ahead of the second part of the League season.
Chukwudi captained the Nigeria U-17 side to a second-place finish at the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup, but has fizzled out of national reckoning ever since.
The central defender has previously played for Sharks and Bayelsa United and has now completed a move to the Nnewi club.
Ifeanyi Ubah have embarked on a recruitment drive after being handed a transfer kitty of N100m by club owner, Ifeanyi Ubah, and Chukwudi is one of the players to have been snapped up by the ‘Anambra Warriors’.
He has been capped by Nigeria at U-20 and Olympic levels and made his Super Eagles debut against Egypt in March.
