As Bayelsa and kogi State gubernatorial election draws closer, there seems to be confusion in the camp of the PDP as the president
Buhari meets with police and INEC officials in Bayelsa and Kogi state.
There has been unrest in the opposition party (PDP) about President
Buhari’s behind closed door meeting with police and the Independent
National Electoral Commission.
The opposition party (PDP) had implied that the president’s meeting
with the police and INEC officials was aimed at rigging the coming gubernatorial
election in Kogi and Bayelsa in favour of the APC
The President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam
Garba Shehu, released a statement recently and condemning the
allegation by the opposition PDP regarding the meeting. He said the President called the meeting with INEC and the police to give the nation a credible election. He said he expected nothing short of a free, fair and credible.
