Chelsea’s John Mikel Obi has hinted he may have to leave the Stamford Bridge side in the January transfer window to save his career.
The player has been frozen out of first team duties this season under the London side’s new manager, Antonio Conte.
Mikel has not played any competitive match for Chelsea this season after he opted to honour Nigeria’s 2016 Rio Olympic Games appearance at the expense of Chelsea’s pre season with Conte.
The coach had demanded to see all his players before the start of the current campaign.
The Eagles’ skipper told SportingLife that he would look at his options to salvage his career and that he might need a change after staying so long with Chelsea.
