Governor Idris Wada has declared a three-day mourning period for the APC gubernatorial candidate of Kogi State, Prince AbubakarAuduwho died on November 22 in Lokoja.
In a statement, signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Adegbemiro Jegede. The number one rival of the late first civilian governor of Kogi State, Wada expressed sadness over the sudden death of Prince Audu.
Wada described the deceased as a great Kogite and a great Nigerian who contributed immensely to the socio-economic and political development of the State.
Prince Audu was Wada’s main rival in Saturday’s inconclusive governorship election in the state. Audu died yesterday November 22 at the age of 68.
