+ How the auto magnate fell in love
Many a man in love with a dimple makes the mistake of marrying the whole girl, said Stephen Leacock, late British-born Canadian writer and economist, in his famous work, Literary Lapses. Leacock’s words unarguably strike a sore point in the life of Lagos city big boy, Bayo Adesola. Bayo is living his dream and having the time of his life with his new fiance, Bukola Owoyemi, the owner of Mide Mane hair brand.
Interestingly, however, the social barometer is flailing wildly. In twos and threes and more, it is being discussed in hushed tones and sometimes openly that the lovers are heading for the altar. And this authoritative. But pray, if all works out according to their plans, the weddings bells will chime in the lives of the duo pretty soon.
Curiously, however, happiness in relationship is entirely a matter of chance, averred Jane Austen, late British novelist in a fit of intense creativity. Perhaps she failed to realise there could be rare exceptions like the case of Bayo and Bukola. And to prove their resilience and abiding love for each other, they have been touring the world together, bucking and clawing like no man’s business in the process shutting the world out of their relationship. They were together yesterday at Global Excellence’s couple’s nite at The Coliseum, Ikeja, Lagos.
Bukola clocked 40 recently and to celebrate the event, Bukola’s lover of many years, Bayo treated her to a classy party on Saturday, 2 July.
The birthday celebration took place at R and A Hotel and Suites, on Allen Avenue, Ikeja. It was attended by several famous Lagos Big Boys and many popular party-loving ladies as well. The dress code dictate for the party was white, and the guests turned out in their most stylish of ways. They all made the event a memorable one for the adorable mother of two.
The male guests were at the party at the behest of the celebrant’s fiancé, Bayo Adesola; and he was the perfect host, as he saw to it that his guests had a swell time, with the flow of array of sumptuous meal, choice wine and good music to go around.
To Bayo, Bukola is more than a mistress, and less than wife; and he never ceases to sing this lullaby to his close friends and associates.
