Contemporary Nigerian pastors have found the garnished gospel of vanity branded with the prosperity of Abraham and wealth of King David and his king-son Solomon. Their fabricated gospel compels every follower to make it my all means as their pastors globetrot the world in private jets and wander on land in the most luxurious of cars. Poor pastors are always threatened and many have sort for ways on how they too can climb up the ladder to wealth. But all these are million miles apart from the true teaching of Jesus, the founder of Christianity.
When He was alive, he was neither poor nor rich, but Jesus life, through historical documentations, reflectsa man who prefers the solitude in humanity and the comfort that abounds in moderation. If Jesus were a man alive, dwelling in a present world, only him knows how disappointed he would feel to see how twisted the gospel he died for have been made to be by it harbingers. Most of them spend their time seeking invitations to social functions, playing golf with the filthy rich, celebrating jubilees, acquiring expensive cars among other choice property and reading the death notices in desperation, in case they can’t find a lavish funeral to attend. Besides these fascinating preferences, a few pastors have perfected the art of throwing lavish parties like nightclub managers. These later band of Nigerian pastors sure know how to have fun. They know how to rock. And Pastor BiodunFatoyinbo is no doubt one such rocker.
Pastor Fatoyinbo of the Abuja-based Common Wealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) church celebrated his birthday at the seven-star Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai on January 22, 2016 in a grand way and he followed it up with an all white yacht party which had Dr Mike Murdock, Pastor Korede Adams, TyeTribett, Anny, among many others in attendance. It was a classy affair and one of the most expensive parties in Dubai in recent times.
Pastor Fatoyinbo’s recent shindig no doubt affirms the notion that contemporary Nigerian pastors are always ready to rock as their vanity dictates. They nurture no restriction in living up the high life
