* Bishop Chris Kwakpovwe Presents 2019 Edition of Annual Mercy Week
Of all plagues with which mankind are cursed, Ecclesiastic tyranny is extremely the worst. But signs of the plague are absent in the ways and ministry of Bishop Dr Chris Kwakpovwe. The General Overseer of Manna Prayer Mountain (aka Our Daily Manna), unlike his devious and ungracious peers does not deceive his flock. Rather than mislead them on the primrose path that leads to eternal doom, he guides them on to the steep and thorny way to heaven.
But besides his verifiable piety and compassion, the Man of God, like a realist, has a passion for healing and feeding souls in the spirit and through Annual Mercy Week.
This auspicious event which is in its second year will culminate with two special events on Saturday, June 30th and Sunday, July 1st, respectively. These special programmes will take place simultaneously in over 100 countries in the world.
The highlights of the week-long programme will include visits to orphanages, donations to widows, gifts of cars to the elderly, donation of food items, awards of scholarships to indigent students, community sanitation, and prison outreach.
All this is in keeping with the vision of the organizers under the able leadership of Bishop Dr Chris Kwakpovwe (General Overseer of Manna Prayer Mountain & Publisher of Our Daily Manna) to promote the gospel through acts of charity. The upcoming Mercy Week has already attracted lots of attention in the media and lots of people have already volunteered to contribute in any way they can.
The organizers have promised that this year’s edition will shatter records in terms of attendance, volume of donations and impact. Care givers and medical personnel have already been mobilized ahead of the D-day.
However, amid the hordes of prosperity hunters, a select few consciously distinguish their messages from the gospel of errant peer. Bishop Chris is one the few clerics who would rather tow the path of holiness and reason and win more souls for heaven. He does not bend or lust for the lure of material things or hard currencies. He represents the few good men and preachers by whose gospel and humanity, Christianity thrives according to the true word and will of God.
