Following the adamant posture of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on the 72-hour ultimatum for her, a former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, Sadiya Umar-Farouq has reported for interrogation on N37b probe.
The ex-minister was invited by the EFCC over alleged laundering of N37b scandal in her ministry during her tenure through a contractor, James Okwete.
She has asked for a three-week grace to appear before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
But the EFCC on Thursday approved only three days for her to attend to her health and appear for interrogation.
In order to avoid being declared wanted, the Ex-Minister reported at the EFCC’s headquarters a few minutes ago.
“She has complied with our 72-hour ultimatum, her investigation by our team has started,” a top source confirmed.
