Nigeria striker Ugochukwu Oduenyi has been tipped to end his three match goal-drought as Dynamo Kiev welcome FC Minaj in the 17th round of Ukraine premier league on Sunday.
Oduenyi’s sharpness has impressed the Dynamo Kiev coach Mircea Lucescu despite the striker yet to find the back of the net but remain confident on the new signing.
Dynamo Kiev has been in good run of form, currently sitting on top of the table with 37th point. While FC Minaj battling for survival sit 12th place with 13 points.
However, a top scout, Ibrahim Connel said: “He’s a fine striker, very sharp and intelligent, he’s a guy who is just unlucky with injury in the past but I think Dynamo Kiev is backing him to get back to scoring form, and I think he can do that against Dynamo Kiev,” said Connel who was former Golden Eaglets striker.
“Oduenyi is an exceptionally talented but unlucky player with a great flair of football. But a goal against Dynamo Kiev could be the beginning of a new dawn for the Nigeria striker who has been working hard and majorly focused on football. He’s going to be a success in the league.”
