Behind the rumour of Masters Energy indictment for oil subsidy scam, a humming bird sang discordant tunes with mischief and human trolls sought to thwart the gracious strokes of fate in the affairs of the oil company.
The social space was recently smudged with news of Masters Energy indicted for a scam it was never a part of. This has since been denounced as part of the mischievous plot of the oil firm’s rivals to smear its name.
Clients and business associates of the renowned oil firm suffered a rude scare in the wake of the malicious rumour. No sooner did the rumour hit the airwaves than the social space exploded in panic as various phone lines, blogs and social networking sites of the company caught on the buzz of the heartrending rumour.
But contrary to the malicious tales, investigations revealed that Masters Energy owned by a very hardworking man, Uche Ogah, was never indicted for oil subsidy fraud. A spokesperson for the company has also denied that the company was indicted in the oil subsidy scam.
“As a major player in the downstream operations of the oil and gas sector, we were invited like other marketers during the petroleum subsidy investigation, which we attended and satisfactorily made presentations on our various transactions during the period backed with relevant documents… We were thereafter cleared by SFU and EFCC,” said Emma Iheanacho, the company’s Head of Corporate Communications.”
