Former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, and the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, have traded words over seized presidential jets in France.
Recall that the seizure of three Nigerian presidential jets in France has led to significant confusion and embarrassment due to a legal dispute involving the Ogun State government and the Chinese company Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Ltd.

The Nigerian government and the Presidency have accused Zhongshan of attempting to seize national assets through fraudulent means.
In response, the Ogun State government has expressed regret over the incident and is taking legal action to resolve the matter.
PeterObi earlier posted on his X account that the seizure of presidential jets is an international embarrassment.
He said, ”This incident highlights the failures in our leadership and our disregard for the rule of law.”
In response, @renoomokri challenged Peter Obi’s criticism, alleging corruption during Obi’s tenure as Governor of Anambra State.
Omokri stated, “Peter Obi, your comments are hypocritical. You were implicated in the Pandora Papers for fraud and mismanaged state funds. If my claims are false, sue me in court. You are as guilty as those you criticize.”
The situation has sparked widespread criticism and discussion about the transparency and accountability of the Nigerian government.
