The struggles of former Vice President Atiku Abubarkar to become the country’s number one since 2007 still remain as a result of spiritual curse by his boss and former President Olusegun Obasanjo who emphatically forbid ambition of Waziri Adamawa as president of Nigeria.
A prominent of All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain Alex Agwu said in Enugu that Obasanjo’s curse on Atiku still fresh despite his ambition to become president of Nigeria by all means in 2027.
In 2018, Obasanjo said that Atiku should not count on him for support in his latest bid to actualise his life-long ambition of being elected the president of Nigeria.
“How can I be on the same side with Atiku?” Mr Obasanjo asked Premium Times during an interview. “To do what?”
“If I support Atiku for anything, God will not forgive me. If I do not know, yes. But once I know, Atiku can never enjoy my support,” he added in 2018. …CONTINUE READING
Before then, the former vice president, who has unsuccessfully run for the top office multiple times, spent the past few months criss-crossing the country as part of a strategy aimed at broadening his appeal amongst politicians and the electorate.
And in the recent reports of aligning a mega party in collaboration with Peter Obi, Bukola Saraki and others show a candis desperation in Atiku to unseat president Bola Tinubu in 2027.
“There was a curse on him (Atiku) by Obasanjo and he’s ready to remove it. But for me, I don’t know how he will do it and his political allies . Will Obi become number to Atiku? Will Obi’s supporters still follow him with that kind of arrangement with Atiku of all people? I sincerely don’t believe there will be mega party in 2027,” Agwu said.
