• Billionaire father of hip hop crooner seeks to divorce wife because his children hate her guts
• Friends wonder why tycoon allows his children to bully him
The enemy within is anyone who’s likely to make you cheerless or afflicted with a broken heart, no matter which side he’s on but Chief Deji Adeleke is apparently unaware of this fact. The billionaire mogul and father of hip hop crooner, Davido, seems ignorant of the fact that no greater misfortune could befall a man than for his children to impose upon him, the want of true love and a wife, particularly in his twilight. It’s like having an empty purse in the thick of need or going into a snowstorm without a fur and firelight.
No man wishes to endure his twilight without a companion he could call “wife,” “true love” or “soulmate in life’s final lap,” not even Adeleke perhaps; but the billionaire magnate is caught in an ugly bind. His children has denied him the bliss of a fulfilling union, abiding love and companionship guaranteed him by having Adepeju Margaret Adeleke as his wife, according to very sources close to the family.
Adeleke’s children are allegedly against his union with Adepeju and it is for this reason that the tycoon is seeking for divorce from his wife. The billionaire reportedly sought divorce on reasons interalia that friends and family members are against the union although close friends and relatives to the magnate revealed that it is his children that are actually the masterminds of his decision to break up his marriage with Adepeju.
Four years after his late wife, Davido’s mother, died of cancer in 2003, Adeleke married Adepeju. But since their marriage in 2007, he and his new bride had repeatedly found it difficult to curry the favour and acceptance of his children. Davido and his siblings allegedly opposed his marriage with Adepeju and persistently made life hellish for their father’s new bride.
It never mattered to them that their father deserved to seek his happiness in Adepeju if he considered her worthy of his love and dedication. Thing got to a head in 2014 when Adeleke couldn’t deal with the hatred shown his wife any longer by his children hence his decision to divorce her. The suit for divorce was allegedly filed by Adeleke in March 2014 while the case began in June of the same year in an Osun State High Court.
As Adeleke seeks divorce from his wife, sources close to the family wonder how the billionaire tycoon could let his children bully him into letting go the woman from whose bosom he sourced strength and succour in his time of anguish. It is even more unnerving to certain friends and close associates of Adeleke’s children that they could connive to deny their father of a lifetime of happiness and contentment simply because they do not like his wife.
But while Davido and his siblings gloat over their achievement, let them not forget that life is a revolving wheel; what goes round, it is said, actually comes round.
