I felicitate to with all our Christian brothers and sisters as they commemorate the death and resurrection of Christ at Easter, which also marks the end of the period of lent.
I am sure that the solemn period of fasting and prayer at lent must have given all Christians the opportunity to reflect on issues of life and afforded them all the opportunity of a closer fellowship with God.
While Easter is a Christian celebration, I enjoin all Nigerians, Christians, Muslims and Traditionalists alike to learn from the lessons of the Season i.e Love and Sacrifice. I am conscious of the fact that the feast of Easter is synonymous with the love that Christ had for his followers that he sacrificed his life for them.
Hence, I urge us all to move forward in Love and Sacrifice towards our dear country and ourselves. Love and sacrifice are two important values that we need more of in our society today.
Therefore, let love not be an abstract idea or in words alone, let us all use this season to show and communicate love to our neighbours in our actions while sacrificing our comfort in giving to all the less privileged around us.
Also, let us continue to put the interest of Nigeria first and also sacrifice by remaining law abiding. We must remember to do only those things that would serve the better interest of our dear Country Nigeria.
