Yes, they were married for 11 years, but as the wildfire dies with a desultory gasp, the bright flame of their love recently quenched in the gale of love’s stormy weathers. Blustery cold and lonely nights aren’t enough deterrence from broken marriage in the charmed, luxurious world of the Iseghohis.
So sad, bliss deserted the former Group Managing Director of Transcorp Plc, Mr. Tom Iseghohi’s marriage in unexpected hours, like a crushed knight fleeing the gates of a fallen fortress. To the former Managing Director (MD), the love that warmed the inner cockles of his heart soon became the thorn that pierced his lungs while he inhaled the fragrance of passion. Thus his marriage to Anita, a former beauty queen, crashed irredeemably, while they were busy doing other things.
The couple certainly fell out of love, forgetting that where there is no love, there is no ardour. They simply stopped tolerating each other. They could no longer bear to live as man and wife while their passion subsided and their home became a wretched cove of distrust and hatred.
Sources close to the estranged couple revealed that their marriage crashed due to irreconcilable differences.
And contrary to belief that the marriage recently hit an iceberg, the couple allegedly separated from each other a long while ago but they succeeded in keeping it under wraps to avoid the noise and scandal that could result from undue media exposure.
While no one is sure if they would ever reconcile and remarry, it is an open secret that the couple are happy without each other.
You couldn’t have forgotten soon what happened when they got married years ago. Anita and Tom met some years back; they were introduced to each other by MBGN pageant director, Ben Murray-Bruce. It was a love at first sight, and the rest as they say is historyNo sooner than they tied the nuptial knot that the groom was arrested and detained by the security agents over fraud. Anita Uwagbale, a mother of one boy, Drake, then, who had hoped that she would enjoy her marriage without any inhibition, but fate, has a way of dealing with people, lying cactuses on your path. Anita was alone for a very long time before Tom was eventually released.
