The president of the Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Omo’ba Dele Odule, and the association’s national executives are set to assemble stakeholders, movie stars and lovers of arts to the ancient city of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state, for their inauguration and investiture come 20th of December 2015.
According to TAMPAN president, the association will make sure the impact of stakeholders and practitioners, at the upcoming event, is felt in the society; and also to let the Nigerian government know what they stand to gain if the vibrant entertainment industry is well funded.
Furthermore, the association’s president said though the past administration of Goodluck Jonathan meant well for the industry, but that the practitioners missed it when an extraction among them went grant-seeking from the government.
He said he is confident that the present administration of President Buhari is equally ready to have a round table discussion with the association. He stated that practitioners with good intent for the industry must be fully engaged, not another set of self-centered, sycophant group of actors that will take the association back another 20years.
TAMPPAN inauguration is billed to be an event with glamor and coloration.
